Hi Everyone! My name is Amanda and I am the owner of Bouncing Bambini! When I started this company in 2014, I knew I wanted to bring the joy of music and movement to the littlest dancers with the Zumbini® program. After having my own bundle of joy, I realized how much bonding and fun could be shared in baby wearing dance classes so I started Baby Mombo. Now I’m trying to help all mamas feel stronger with my new set of pre/postnatal fitness classes, Strong Mama.
My real passion is educating young children. After receiving my Masters in Early Childhood Education, I went on to teach for years in private and public school settings with ages Birth through Pre-K. In addition to classroom settings, I have loved teaching early childhood classes such as Acro, Ballet, Tap, Creative Movement, Parent-Child, Gymnastics, and Music in many different locations! My dance background includes West African Dance to Competitive Hip Hop to dancing as a Mascot (Huckleberry the Cow for the Staten Island Yankees, true story!!)
Now as a busy mom, I found baby wearing to be a fantastic way to lull my little guy to sleep but couldn’t find a way to get in a fun dance-based workout in my area until I started Baby Mombo! In this class we not only have time to dance, tone, and sweat a little, we also have time to talk and bond with other baby wearing parents.
One thing I worried about most during my pregnancy was exercise: how much can I do, what is safe, can I do this particular movement, how do I balance out these ice cream cravings? These feelings didn’t go away right after he was born as it was difficult to find guidelines on how to return to exercising with this new body of mine. I pursued my Pre/Postnatal Fitness Certification to not only figure out what is safe for me to do as a new mom, but to also share this knowledge with other mamas in my newest class, Strong Mama.
I am excited to share more about my classes as well as my passion for music and movement with you and your little one soon!
*Random fact, I’m also a Notary Public! Let me know if you need anything notarized!
